Ice skating in Val d' Aosta! |
Today, we all woke up around 9:30, grabbed some breakfast, then checked out of the hotel. Luckily they had a place for us to keep our bags, so we didn't have to lug them around all day! We all headed to a big pavilion to go ice skating! There were girls there practicing for a competition, and they literally put all of us to shame. Once again, these girls were so young! They looked like they were 6 years old. And they were out there doing hundreds of twirls, leaps, tricks, etc. They are so into winter sports there!
Afterward, we all got lunch at a pizzeria. We all ordered our own "personal pans," however, personal pans in Italy are somewhat nonexistent, (see below). After lunch, we shopped around a bit, then caught the bus home. On the way home, we weren't quite as lucky as far as getting an empty bus. Thankfully, I managed to sleep most of the way home (per usual).

Personal pan pizza's, Italian style.. |
After we got home, I unpacked, then went to bed pretty early. I was exhausted from this weekend, which was an absolute blast. I loved the town, the scenery, the little restaurants, and most of all, the skiing. I could have spent a week there!
