Ok so I’m not going to lie, I’m writing this a week late! I promised myself I was going to do this everyday, so naturally, I didn’t, even on Day 1.
So we got here on Monday morning, jet-lagged and sleepy! We were picked up by a service through SAI, which was nice! They were supposed to be waiting for us at baggage claim, however, they were outside and around the corner drinking coffee when we found them! It was about an hour car ride from Malpensa to our place, but we got to talk to the two other girls who are living right next door! Their names are Dawn and Lorraine, who are both coincidently from Long Island, but don’t know each other and didn’t come here together. Dawn is a fashion major, and who I have really grown to like over the past week! And Lorraine is a great person to have around, because she speaks Italian! Well, a little bit…but way more than anyone else!!
When we got to the house, we unpacked and settled in. Then, took a 5 hour nap…which you are definitely not supposed to do! Opps J Then we walked across the street and got pizza from the little pizzeria that is literally 5 steps from our house, and wine from the Minimart next door! How Italian of us! Pizza and wine for our first night in Italy! After that, we all talked and got to know each other a little bit, then called it a night because we had an orientation the next morning! I lied in bed for a little bit, because I did just wake up from a 5 hour nap a couple hours before! I got a little scared for a second, thinking about not going home for the next four months...but then I reassured myself that everything is going to be fabulous :)
